Updated Website
August 10th, 2008
After about 2 years of meaning to get round to it I’ve just updated my main website. The content (and 99% of the source code), is all the same, as all the visual changes are achieved using css. This means my top ranking shouldn’t suffer at all, fingers crossed. Anyway, check it out, its very cool and if you refresh the page the image on the laptop randomly changes – sweet
Here’s before and after shots:

I am waiting for a bit of space
July 13th, 2008
I know I haven’t updated in a while – I’ve have a huge tranch of work on which is only now beginning to tail off – leaves me with a bit of space in the summer for my own private projects. I also need to update the main sites look and feel – its mostly built but I need some time clear to install it. And I’ve gone off this blog skin, I think some tweaking is in order. I was using k2 for WordPress, I think I’ll look at it again. So, lots to keep me busy…
See other people in the store when shopping online
April 21st, 2008
Apple has filed a patent detailing its plans to make online shopping a more interactive experience. The patent states:
“one drawback of online shopping is that the experience can feel sterile and isolating. Customers in such an environment may be less likely to have positive feelings about the online shopping experience, may be less inclined to engage in the online equivalent of window shopping (e.g., will not linger in front of a display), and may ultimately spend less money than their counterparts who shop in physical stores.”

Very interesting, and a cool idea. But is it distracting if you are there to order a specific item, or would it encourage you to browse and spend more? I would love to see what they are planning.
