On demand movie downloads
March 18th, 2006
Rumours abound that Ecommerce giant Amazon is in advanced talks with at least three major studios about a service that would allow customers to download a movie from the Amazon Web site and then burn it onto a DVD-R. This will clearly be great if
- The price is right
- the format is sensible
- speeds are good
- Films are current
and of course, its available in the UK. Lovefilm here currently do domething but its a bit half hearted. Lets see what gets launched…
Now if I was their Ecommerce Consultant

Volkswagen has scooped the polo.eu domain name, despite fierce competition from Ralph Lauren and Polo-mint maker Nestle, a leading registrar reveals.
NetNames said the trio applied within five minutes of each other, and Ralph Lauren, owner of polo.com, missed out by only three minutes and 24 seconds.
How can you to be too late to get a domain. These guys don’t do much time sensitive stuff do they. Last minute sniping on ebay has obviously passed them by. If I was in charge of the application process, I would not be three minutes late to grab a domain name. Sheesh!

Ecommerce Consultant being my main targeted keyword as it best describes what I do – note its not some made up phrase that no-one searches for
Still working on world domination with Google, but I know why… If you need an SEO Consultant, I am available for hire…
Google Analytics
March 5th, 2006
I’m very impressed with Google Analytics so far.I was thinking of buying urchin for my Ecommerce Consultancy at one point, as I thought it was pretty good. Google obviously thought so too, since they went and bought the company so its especially nice to get it for free. I really like the overlays, as shown on my site (above). I tried to do a similar thing when I was at Amazon to calculate the value of a placement on various parts of the amazon homepage – it worked well, but I did it manually and it took a while to do. This is great to have, and even better for my Ecommerce clients.
